In 1991 my wife and I bought land in Shelton, Nebraska and on this land was a 20 by 20 greenhouse.  Located close to the UP railroad tracks, all the glass had vibrated and fallen from the building.  We covered it with plastic and said, "Hey let's try growing some plants and selling them".  The spring of 1991 we sold $1547 worth of plants and thought we had the world by the ass.  

Spring 2025 will be our 34th year growing and selling plants.  Lots has changed over the years.  Nearly every plant we grow is grown from a patented plug.  We specialize in mixed combinations in a container we call a bump up pot.  This container is designed to be easily transplanted into a larger container, basket, or into the landscape.  The design of bump up pot allows for fast, efficient, and convenient planting into a container.  All of the plants are matched for vigor, water, and sunlight requirements, which takes your guess work out of which plants to plant together.  You can watch a bump up pot being planted here.
